2010 Fairman Of The Year

Joe Taylor of the Georgia-Carolina State Fair was awared the FAIRMAN OF THE YEAR award at the 2010 convention. This prestigious award is given every year to the person who has provided distinguished service to the nominating fair.
Any member fair or carnival can nominate someone for this award. The criteria for nomination is set up in such a way that almost anyone, doing almost any job can be considered for nomimation. The recepient is usually a volunteer who has been in the fair business for 8 - 10 years, or more, and has worked very hard for the sponsoring organization to help build and maintain their fair. The nominee is someone whom others look to for guidance and direction, so therefor he or she must be a good leader. Nominations are voted on by all association members.
